This new Nikon D7000 DSLR improve considerably from its predecessor D90. Which technically makes it Nikon's new mid range DSLR. However like its predecessor Nikon gonna charge you little bit more for this camera but it return put lots of new features in this camera, which makes this camera very exciting and its take a new position in Nikon's DSLR lineup, between the D90 and D300S.

Look and feel:
The build quality of this camera is similar to D90, in your hands it feel very good, the grip is very comfortable and secure. We can say that the Nikon D7000 and D90 are quite similar, in terms of its control layout, the D7000 is very close to the D90. Some controls have changed slightly like the D90's 'Lv' button becomes a spring-loaded switch, whereas the number of control points is the same. Another added feature in the physical aspects in D7000 is that it has now two memory card slots, which will now give you much more option to play around with and for better backup. If we look into the overall dimensions of the D7000 are very similar to the older D90, but the heavier, magnesium alloy body shell and thicker rubber on the hand grip give it a more serious feel. And another most exciting feature about this camera is its optical view finder which delivers 100 % coverage, that you can get only in pro DSLR cameras. The D7000's U1 and U2 option dial is another good feature in this category, which now enables you to capture images with two preset settings options.

Performance:
The two biggest factor of the performance of this camera is the speed and the image quality which is greatly improved in this camera, the newly developed DX-format CMOS sensor with 16.2 effective megapixels,that is now much more sensitive and delivers a base ISO-range of 100-6400 ISO with the possibility of ‘boosting’ the sensitivity up to 25600 ISO. The new high shutter speed is now 1/8000 sec and a major update is 39 f point. So it makes this camera really amazing for just about any type of photography that you want to do, it is small, light weight and easy to carry and fast as D300s and it has great and fast auto focus system for lower light, it works really well for sports, wildlife, landscape and still life. The D7000 records images on SD/SDHC/SDHC cards via not one but two slots housed in the large right-hand compartment. This allows you to use two cards in tandem, with the ability to overflow images onto the second card, backup images from the first to the second, or save RAW to slot 1 and JPEG to slot 2 or you can save photos on one card and Full HD video clips on the other card. You can also set up your camera so that one slot functions as a back-up.

So what about the image quality? I feel that its just surpasses any of that in its field, the high ISO and even in the mid rage ISO the image quality in this camera is pretty outstanding. The Video quality of Nikon D7000's video is average, you'll hear the lens painfully trying to focus in your audio.

You’ll also get EN-EL15 rechargeable Li-ion battery rated up to 850 shots per CIPA, charger, eyepiece cap, rubber eyecup, USB and A/V cables, strap, LCD monitor cover, body cap, accessory shoe cover and ViewNX 2 software on CD-ROM. For good measure, Nikon includes a 328-page user’s manual for light reading.
