Nice Deal

The E900WA-BenQ's latest LCD monitor looks elegant in its black matte finish front bezel and it has a small silver strip that runs below the panel. This widescreen has a color TFT Active Matrix LCD display with anti-glare coating, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and a screen resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. The monitor even has a headphone jack which is a rarity for this range. It also has two in-built speakers which deliver superb sound. The only thing missing is the DVI input.

We ran various video clips, slideshows, and games on the monitor, and it worked really well. The white and black contrast of the display is great though we observed glitches in the color regeneration and the sparse dot moiré pattern test of the Displaymate benchmark. Slight ripples were visible on the display and pixel tracking feature didn't work well. For a regular user, these problems won't matter, but for a graphics artist it does.

It could have been better with the addition of DVI input, swivel, height adjustment and possibly a webcam.
