There are over 20 phone manufacturers in India, and each of them offers a minimum of 10 phones. This makes a large number of phones to choose for the consumer at any point of time. And we're not even counting the numerous smaller brands available. These are a few of our top picks for regular mobile phones at different price points.

Upto Rs 3,500

1. Samsung E2370 (Rs 3,000) - The Samsung E2370 is a candy-bar phone with a color 1.8" display. The phone has 40MB internal memory and microSD slot. It has GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity and comes with a VGA camera as well as Stereo FM with recording. The phone has a 2000mAh battery.

2. Zen M16 (Rs 3,000) - This Dual SIM phone from Zen has a candy-shape design with a matte finish. It has a 2" display and GPRS as well as Bluetooth connectivity. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and microSD slot along with a 1.3MP camera. The phone has a 1200mAh battery.

3. Motorola ZN300 (Rs 3,500) - The ZN300 is a slider phone with a mode-shift morphing keypad. It has 8MB internal memory and microSD slot. The phone has a 3.2MP camera with flash and also has Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity.

4. iBall Aasan Senior (Rs 3,500) - The iBall Aasan senior phone is a must have phone for grown ups who have trouble with their eyes. The phone has a keypad with extra large keys and a display with large text. It also has an SOS button at the back that sends an emergency message to 5 fed numbers.

Rs 3,500 - Rs 5,500

1. Samsung C3303 Champ (Rs 4,000) - The Samsung Champ is the cheapest touchscreen phone available in the market. It has a 2.4" resistive display and comes with 30MB onboard memory with microSD slot. It has a 1.3MP camera and GPRS as well as Bluetooth connectivity. The phone also has Social networking integration and 1000mAh battery.

2. Motorola EX115 (Rs 5,000) - The EX115 is dual SIM offering by Motorola that comes has a full QWERY keypad. It has a 2.3" landscape display and 50MB internal memory with microSD card slot. The phone has a 3.2MP camera, Stereo FM, GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity.

3. Nokia X2 (Rs 5,000) - The Nokia X2 is the best camera phone you can get in this price range. It features a large 2.2" display and has dedicated music keys. The phone features a 5MP camera, Stereo FM with built in antenna, Bluetooth, GPRS, expandable memory card and weighs a mere 81g.

It has a full QWERTY keypad and vibrant 2.4" landscape display, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity with 3D surround sound feature!

Rs 5,000 - Rs 7,000

1. SE Naite (Rs 6,000) - The SE Naite is a phone that scores on looks. It has large metallic keys and a bright 2.2" display. The 3G enabled phone has a 2MP camera, Stereo FM, Bluetooth, GPRS and is made of eco friendly materials.

2. Samsung corby S3653 (Rs 5,500) - The corby has a large fan following due to its swanky looks and offering a capacitive touchscreen. The phone has a 2.8" display with a zippy UI and also features DNSe sound enhancement. It features GPRS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, 2MP camera and has social network integration.

The phone has noise cancellation with dedicated microphone and is splash resistant. Moreover, it is made of Eco friendly materials and has a 1000mAh battery.

Rs 9,000 onwards

1. Sony Ericsson Hazel (Rs 10,500) - The Hazel is a slim, sexy slider that comes loaded with features at a very appealing price. The phone has a 2.6" beautiful display and comes with 280MB of internal memory. It has 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth as well as GPS and belongs to the Greenheart series which means it is made of recyclable materials. The phone sports a 5MP AF camera that also records videos in VGA resolution at 30FPS

2. LG GX500 (Rs 11,000) - The LG GX500 has a bright 3" resistive touchscreen display and features the S-class UI. It comes with 40MB onboard memory, WiFi, Bluetooth connectivity and has Stereo FM with recording. The dual SIM phone has a 3.2MP AF camera and a 1500mAh battery.

SAMSUNG METRO S5350 is an excellent 3G phone. I'm using it for the last 4 months. It's having HSPD, EDGE, 262K display, Shortcuts, 3.2mp camera, 8GB card, superb styling bar etc., etc., It's close to Rs 5,000/- now.
